My friend just ordered an AF-S 28-70/2.8 for the same price as the new AF-S 80-200/2.8 (which he didn't order). That was in Finland and the retail price was 2400 euros, the street prices are usually 20% less. Nicam in Italy list the AF-S 28-70/2.8 for 1704 euros.
