We consistantly processed TMax film without TMax developer at the newspaper
I staffed for for years.  The only time we used the TMax developer was to
push the film, otherwise we used D-76.  I never noticed a lot of difference
between the two.  If anything, the TMax film we developed without TMax
developer was a lot less contrasty and easier to print.
