Actually, in Chasseur d' Images, they rated F100 first, Canon second and
Dynax last for what metering concerns:

F100: very consistent exposure system, a la F5. Tuned towards a slight
over-exposure (0.3 stop).
EOS3: very good system, but not as consistent in very tricky cases.
Slight under-exposure bias (0.3 stop)
Dynax: very good system, with good detection of off-center subjects
(thanks to the honeycomb pattern), but sometimes inconsistent results,
due to funny reactions in some cases. Did you say "fuzzy logic"? ;-)

I guess it all depends on the kind of test pictures, and the bias of the
journalists...
