Friedrich,

I bought mine for 66 Euro (about 71 USD) used and in mint condition. Filter
size is 52mm which corresponds with my other lenses. It's lightweight and
relatively small. When Nikon released its EM body the E-series lenses were
offered as a low-cost consumer version of the AIS-lenses. Build quality is
remarkably bad, it's a one-touch zoom and creeping heavily.
Optical quality is excellent even wide open as discussed in other places. I
use it primarily as my 2,8/80-200-Lite for portraiture and travel.

Indeed I am impressed by its optical performance every time I get my slides
back. Mechanically it compares with consumer AF-lenses.
