I would ass that SRL means Single Lens Reflex so a 35mm SRL meaning that what you see through your viewfinder is what goes trhough the lens you have, The other kind of 35mm. camera is a rangefinder camera where you see through a separate window to check your composition. In this case there is a slight difference between what you see and what will be seen through the lens.; but this is noticeable just in close-up or very close photography. Pierlucio
