It seems we can talk about old nikons anytime we want to. I do enjoy the old F2 as it is an old friend. It will always be the most familiar, and with black and white or print film the meter is fine. The new stuff is enviable however. I recently purchased a Nikkor 28-105 zoom. I didn't see any distortion at the extreme ends of the zoom in images of a building. Colors are fine, Fuji ASA 100 print film, on an "old" 8008. The lens will be great for the family photos that I bought it for. You can't beat the convenience of a zoom! Hank
