Hello fellow Nikoners: Just an update. I have received about 35 e-mails so far, and it looks like one F5 is sold and one F90X and maybe an SB-27. I am keeping both SB 28's which means really 3 SB 27's for sale instead. Just some assistance please: If you write, offer a price, for pickup here in Toronto. If you simply ask how much? I won't be able to reply. This is really not a statistical exercise, I really need to have some idea if you are offering a reasonably fair price. I can't wait until May 1999 for you to save up, sorry. I cannot send to Texas, Hawaii, or other non-Canada locations safely, and even via UPS COD is a big problem outside Canada, plus you get hit with duty coming into USA. So non-Canadians, I don't know of an alternative. For those who asked I won't disclose the name of the insurance company but they allow exhange body for body, lens for lens within a pool of losses. E.G. I lost an F2 and both an MD2 and MD3 motor. These are replaced with an F3 and MD4 and MD4 only respectively. I can then take the value of an F3/MD4 and use it towards a motorized body , in this case an F5 which is about $500 more. Which the spare MD4 paid for. Lose an F4 get an F5. Lose an F5, get an F5, etc. What I did essentially is get out of MF entirely and stuck with AF, so 11 lenses became 6. 4 bodies became 6 which was pretty good, I agree. One was an FE 10 though. I am more than happy to negotiate prices, etc. using the logic that a discount of few hundred $$ plus no GST/PST (15% tax) would be fair for both of us. $1500 for a new F5 is not fair, I think you agree. == Rick Davitt Toronto Canada _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
