I can vouch for the EM! I use it for colour print photography, keeping my F3T for slides. It uses Series E lenses but also AI/AIS without problem. By the way I've had the camera several years and only changed the battery once. I don't see total battery dependence as a problem, I just carry a spare! John Partis
