I largely prefer an email list:
- It's a lot slower to read web pages than to read your mailbox.
- You somehow have to keep track of what you've already read, which
usually goes wrong at some point. With email that's a lot easier.
- Typing text in a mail reader is a lot easier than html forms. Most
mail readers even allow you to start an external editor.
