wide angle lenses

Hi, I'm new to this list, so I don't know if this has been discussed
before. 

I am looking for a wide angle lens for my FE2, to do architecture,
landscapes and the such. I have a 35mm f2.8 Series E, but it is simply
not good enough in terms of sharpness and distortion. Does anyone
have recommandations (not zoom lenses)?
