Hello Jeff, Sorry for delayed answer - I look into the mailing list only ocasionally, so it is the more reliable way to Contact my directly. After you have compiled the kernel, I hope you have really installed the right kernel and booted the right one? You can test, if rtc really is bild as a module either by looking the actual running configuration in /proc/config.gz of by trying to load the rtc module: modprobe -v rtc should not fail. The other reason for the error message could be harmless - If you have compiled and installed the rtc module, the module will not be loaded at the boot time automatically. So, Load.Nistnet looks for the rtc module, doesn't fint that (because you haven't loaded that module) and give you that error message, but all things are really going well - you can test it by running lsmod and finding the nistnet module on the right place. Regards, Eduard

I'm relatively new to Linux this is probably why I'm running into so many problems. I have make/ make install nistnet, and everything seems to work fine. However, when I run ./Load.Nistnet it outputs with error message requesting for rtc module. So I set enchance rtc to module and rebuilt the kernel. (make modules/make modules_install) However, I try to run ./Load.Nistnet after I restarted the computer. The same error message came out. I also checked rather rtc exists under /dev If you have any idea, please point me to the right direction.
