Hi,

I am setting up NIST Net on a system with Xubuntu 6.10 installed with
Kernel 2.6.17.14. I recomplied the Kernel with RTC as a module.

I have installed NIST Net with no problems, using the information on
http://www.imit.kth.se/courses/2G1305/nistnet-under-ubuntu-20061012.html

Before Load.Nistnet, the PC behind the Xubuntu box can access the
network fine.

Load.Nistnet runs fine with no complaints.

The problem I am having is that when I configure a delay in Xnistnet,
NIST Net just seems to hold all the packets until I click Flush. I
think this is a problem with RTC.

Any advice on how to fix this? Is there something I might have missed
when compiling the kernel? Should I install a different version of
Linux altogether?

I read a message on this list that said something about a MC146818 timer
chip. Is this likely to have anything to do with my problem?

Any advice much appreciated.

Duncan
