I am trying to set up a server for a small workgroup. The main function would be a file server. I have installed Ubuntu Server 8.04, but am having strange network issues. Usually the problem is that DNS resolution stops working. I have to reboot to clear it up. It doesn't seem to run a whole week without trouble. I am not using any special DNS caching. The DNS is just pointed at OpenDNS.
I am probably going to continue to try to get Ubuntu working, but are there any recommendation? Any good or bad experience with Ubuntu or other distro recommendations? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "NLUG" group.
