If I were you, I would use Centos 5.2 as a small business server.
It's essentially the free RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) and more
suitable for the 'business server' environment on a budget.  Ubuntu/
Kubuntu seem to be more for a workstation although you can make a
server out of any Linux box.  I am running all the things you
mentioned for a small office on Centos without a hangup from day
one... it just seems to be more tailored for that role.  I have about
6 months of linux experience on these servers and it has a nice easy
to use graphical install and asks you which roles you want the server
to perform... it was super easy to get going and most of all, very
solid.  I primarily use ssh to manage the servers, but if you like
using graphical desktop, you can use vnc server manage them (provided
you have X installed)...  That would be my advice.
