You are wrong.  Section 6 requires that "You must update the COPYRIGHT
NOTICE portion of this License to include the exact text of the COPYRIGHT
NOTICE of any Open Game Content You are copying, modifying or distributing".
If you leave out some of the text of the copyright notice of the work you
are copying, you are in violation.  (It is generally accepted that you can
leave out duplicate entries, though an extremely strict interpretation might
not)
It does make collections of OGC undesirable sometimes, but there are ways
around that.  Contact the individual author if you know them and see if
they'll send you an OGC'd version of just the entry you want, for example.
