Clark Peterson is an attorney. Alec Burkhardt is a law professor. Most of
the professional publishers on this list have also obtained legal advice
before making a huge investment. People have been publishing under the OGL
for about two and a half years now. While no one is arguing things are
perfect, the system does work, the sky is not falling, and no one is going
to sell books by dropping your name. If the license causes you this much
concern and heartache despite trailblazers taking a lot more risk than
you're willing to assume paving the way over the course of the past couple
years, then perhaps this just isn't the license you should be using.
