you did not own and do not have permission to
indicate.

Oddly enough...

If someone just stood back and dodged around the trademark (i.e., instead of saying "Everquest" they said "a roleplaying game adaption of the world's most popular MMORPG") they could probably dodge the entire issue, much more effectively get the audience's attention, and possibly help sell EQRPG books to boot.
