Hi Nitin. This is by design in order to keep users from accidentally or purposefully spamming their friends. Instead, users have to type the first few letters of the friend's name and the field will offer suggestions and even autocomplete the name if the user selects one. This way, users have to consider who the message is intended for rather than sending a blanket message to everyone.
