The VIEWER object will be null for users who don't have the
application installed. If your logic relies on the presence of the
VIEWER object, it will fail in this use case, which is probably why I
saw an empty view when I navigated to your canvas view from another
account.

You have several options, but here are the two I recommend most often:

1. Build a slightly altered canvas view without the VIEWER
dependencies. This will take some of the social aspects away, but you
can always include a note inside your app to install the application
if they want to experience the social features. You are also permitted
to redirect users to the app install page if they try to take some
action (e.g. leave a comment) that is not available to users without
the app installed. Don't automatically redirect them, however.

2. Your current profile view renders perfectly for all users,
regardless of whether they have the app installed or not. So you can
display this view in the canvas when VIEWER is null and the more
impressive canvas view when the VIEWER object is available.

Either way, try to show something other than "Install your app" since
the idea is to let users experience your application before committing
to installing it.
