The app XML url can't be changed once submitted. Please refrain from using 
google pages for hosting it, there have been cases when google pages threw 
bandwidth exceed errors on app xmls. Better use google appengine or amazon S3 
for hosting the xml.
 
I think the information that app xml URL can't be changed later should be made 
sticky in group or told to developer while he is submitting the app to 
directory.
