So, now having gone over this, I'm ready to give this case a +1 conditional on the following changes:
1) The faked daemon should be Project Private, since it isn't meant to be called by end-users. (It probably doesn't need a man page for it, either.) It should live in usr/lib or somesuch, as a result. 2) The save files should be Volatile. 3) The man pages and on-line help should remove references to TCP sockets, since that functionality is not being supported (i.e. the support is not compiled into the binary). These changes may have implications for upstream, but actually I think they are beneficial for other OS' not just Solaris. If the project team agrees, please say so, and accept my +1. :-) - Garrett
