I mostly agree, but do keep in mind that users are conscious of bus
technologies -- they know that some device is a USB hub, or a USB this,
that or the other, and parts of the USB topology are visible.  So it may
make sense to provide interfaces that deal with such buses separately
from others simply because users perceive things that way (if they do).

That said, there must be interfaces that are independent of bus
technologies.
