Aside: SVID stands for System V *Interface* Definition. Crash is a tool 
for use by humans, but it's not an interface for portable programs of 
any kind, including shell scripts. I presume that's why it's not 
included in the SVID.

We now return to your previous discussion of UNIX directory rules, 
already in progress...
