Okay. So I tried booting the physical CD from within VMware and to my
surprise the live CD GUI came up. Allerdings this was not using the
Acer CD drive. However, the Acer CD drive has not exhibited any
problems with any other CD media... maybe next step is to install
VMware on the Acer too? Any other ideas?
