Great idea.  If a Sun server burps a Core dump, Sun support is the best starting 
place.  Considering you have several software variables: Sun, Java VM, Informix, 
Orion, etc., you need to isolate what it is not.

try sun. it cannot be a problem with orion as a VM cannot programmatically 
be crashed. it's a native code problem so it could be VM, OS or native JDBC 
drivers.
