Hi All, I installed Oscar 5 on a new installation of fedora Core 5 and I have the system working (after a few problems!).
Now I'm looking into updating the master and client (with security and some new library that users will need to be able to calculate) and I'm having an hard time figuring things out. Documentations I could find is not very clear, can someone clarify things for me? What should I use to update the master? Yum will work but it will also update all the oscar packages so I will need a way to update them in /tftpboot/oscar/common and /tftpboot/oscar/fc-5-i386 or the image of the clients will have old packages, how can I do that (other then by hand)?!?! What should I use to update the nodes? repo_update seems to be working and I can rebuild the image but that will leave the oscar packages not up to date with the master node. yume check-update on the master returns the following error message: "ERROR while executing "yum -c /tmp/fileZyFzHU check-update" : Inappropriate ioctl for device" any ideas?
