Hey Guys, One of the biggest ongoing problems is managing/storing our small parts in the prototyping lab. Currently we're using small clear vials, but inevitably somebody walks off with the vials, doesn't label them etc. In the past we've tried pill storage boxes, but 0603s seemed to jump from one bin to the next. Does anybody have any suggestions for storage solutions for small components (ie 0603 and 0402). Any suggestions would be great.
Off the top of my head, the ideal solution would be a tray that could hold on the order of 100 removable "bins" of varying size from 0.5" square to 1" square, each bin operable with one hand. The "bins" must seal such that components can't migrate into adjacent "bins."
