Hey Dennis,

In addition to Adaware, I like to run Spybot Search & Destroy as they seem
to detect slightly different things. However, I would guess that Spybot
wouldn't help you.

I'm pretty sure you could edit the registry to remove this toolbar, but the
other really useful tool is Hijack This available at
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html. This is a handy tool that
lists and catagorizes a whole bunch of things on your computer. Then, you
can choose to "fix" each one. I don't always recognize everything it lists,
but I can look up anything I don't know and decide to fix it or leave it
alone. There are several tutorials available that describe the categories
they use etc. The category assigned to BHOs is "02", so it is pretty easy to
see all the enabled BHOs.

in IE i found a toolbar installed with a blank name!

(yes i generally use firefox but one must still use IE from time to time)

anyone know how to remove it or even find it ?
i assume it is a BHO

i tried adaware pro w/ no luck
