Joshua,
I don't know the definitive answer to your query but I believe it may
be something along these lines.

Protel/Altium sometimes vary their SP releases between incremental
updates and a more global update on service packs. I have never started at
anything less than P99SE SP2 because that is what's on our CDS but I am
suspicious that the SP2 update your applying may require the previous SP1
before it will install properly. Was there a SP1, I don't know? At any rate
some service packs only work incrementally requiring the previous SP, others
will update most any previous SP (i.e. SP6 updates SP2, you don't need to
install SP3, SP4 & SP5.).

Or is there the possibility that your original install was already SP2
(as was supplied on a lot of the CDs at the time).

Sincerely,
Brad Velander

Subject: [OT] Running Protel 2004 on XP x64

I am trying to install Protel 2004 on Windows XP x64. The base install went
without a hitch but when I try to install Protel 2004 service pack 2 I get the
message below:

      Error:
The file C:\Program Files(x86)\Altium\Help\AdvPCB.rul is not a valid
previous version and could not be upgraded.

Does anybody know how to fix this problem?
