You many try to create a meta data integrated with a dummy field in infopath,
once the form is submitted, the data will change to see if it trigger the alert.

Hi,

We’re having and issue with infopath (don’t get
me started with stupid infopath). What happens is the form is submitted to a
document library in SharePoint. On that library, we have alerts setup. Now if
you modify the item from the library, you get the alert, however if you open it
up in infopath and modify it and submit it, the alerts aren’t triggered.
Has anyone come across this and knows of a fix?

Fadi
