You can convert the InfoPath data connection into Sharepoint DataConnectionLibrary. The DataConnectionLibrary can be created on every site you want. The same form will look for the corresponding DataConnectionLibrary on the site.
Just hit "Convert" button in InfoPath data connection. Another alternative is to use Sharepoint web service such has /_vti_bin/lists.asmx.
