I'm using the source editor of the CEWP. It is not stripping out the %0A here. We get the same result using Edit HTML Source.
We have a MOSS2007 build patched up to the Feb 2010 CU. Cheers. When you add the "%0A" in, do you do it that using the "Edit HTML Source" option or elsewhere? When I add "%0A" in the HTML view and click OK, all "%0A" characters are stripped from the HTML... At least, it is working in our environment! e.g. send email Regards, ricky_elias Ricky Elias | Applications Analyst | Xstrata Copper Business Unit IT Level 9, Riverside Centre, 123 Eagle Street Brisbane QLD 4000 Phone: +61 7 3295 7538 | Fax: +61 7 3295 7642 | Mobile: +61 420 275 002 | Email: rel...@xstratacopper.com<mailto:rel...@xstratacopper.com> From: ozmoss-boun...@ozmoss.com [mailto:ozmoss-boun...@ozmoss.com] On Behalf Of Zelda Leung Sent: Friday, 6 August 2010 12:03 PM To: ozMOSS Subject: Tags within HTML content Hi all, I feel like the answer to this question should be straight forward, but I've yet to come up with a good answer, so maybe someone in the OzMossy-ether can help :) Within our publishing pages, users have included a link such as "Email link" to the page's content via the Content Editior webpart. Ironically, in MCMS2003, this opens a new email that recognises the carriage return, but in Sharepoint2007, the carriage return is completely ignored. I've tried a number of things including: * Adding "
" around the tag * Using a
tag instead of the ascii characters * Entering a carriage return when editing the HTML content on the page * Adding a
tag to the body (yes, was getting desperate) All to no avail :( I'm a bit miffed as to why would be rendering correctly in the previous version, but is deciding to strip out the characters now. Does anyone know to either: stop it from stripping out the characters, work around the problem or know why it's behaving like this - preferably without having to code something special just for this?
