Thanks, Ivan. The prod site already exists. That's part of the problem. But I've made so many changes to dev I'm inclined to just overwrite with a full backup/restore. I'm assuming SharePoint takes care of the rest.
Is updating the manifest really as simple as changing the baseUrl for the solutionDefinition?? The only other items that look problematic are the dataObjects which refer to list connections by ID rather than name.
