EEEEE

Kevin,
You do not say what OS you are using . I just opened a 720k DOS
formatted DD disk in 8.6 and successfully copied to the desktop so I feel
your problem is not one of OS incapacity. At least as far as OS 8.6 goes.
This phenomenon may be deterioration of the data medium. If
perchance the
disk was formatted in a high density drive at a higher energy level the
particles in the magnetic substrate may "shift " over time. A different
phenomenon occours when
an HD disk is formatted in a DD drive at a lower energy level. Causing
another form of data loss over time.
You might experiment with a machine with a DD drive if you can find
one.
I assume there is no other problem with your current OS indicating
corruption there.

                        Good Luck,

Adrian D'Alessio
