IMO, the longer you delay making a decision wrt wireless, the better.

There are two major factors at work:

1) Mac vs PC cards, which is (mostly) technically just the lack of 
drivers for Mac OS 9 and X.  This is being addressed: There are 
developers working on "universal" drivers; it's mostly just a matter 
of time.  eg: IOXperts.

2) The wireless market is changing fast.  802.11a, .11b, .11g, and 
the newer revisions of 11g (it isn't a finalized standard yet), 
interoperability issues, distance/speed issues, etc.

Item (2) is the critical one.  Several companies soon to release 
better chip sets.  As they begin to ship in volume, the price of 
interface cards (pci and pcmcia) will drop...
