Well, there is no way I can afford (or even pretend to afford) a solution
that runs me $150 and up right now. So, I will definitely wait...and stay
on the swap list...check ebay...yaddy yaddy.

My original question was really aimed at seeing if I just needed to buy a
cheap pci adapter in order to be able to use hardware I already have.
Answer...basically is NO :/

I was really hoping to use my PM8500's S-video out to connect to our living
room TV and perhaps use it as a "file server" of sorts for different types
video files I have on our network and maybe other cool things. But our LAN
hub is upstairs, so I was hoping it would not be too expensive to go the
wireless route. Sadly, its just not worth it to me (even if I had that kind
of money right now).

Thanks to you both for ALL the info though...it was definitely food for
thought...and ultimately it answered my question with a "not now, but maybe
later in the used market".

Cheers!
Caitlin
