it works great. I couldn't imagine that you would have problems with yours. >> EIDE/ATAPI CD-ROM-R-R/Ws as well as EIDE/ATAPI DVD-ROM-R-R/Ws work well when connected through a card such as an UltraTek66, provided the proper device support is provided. On my 9600/233, for example, I am using an INIT from ( can't remember, but it's available as an evaluation copy, after which you must buy it for a reasonable price ), which allows a SCSI-appearing CD-ROM-R-R/W and a SCSI-appearing DVD-ROM-R-R/W to work as if they were actually EIDE/ATAPI devices. The 9600/233 had a hacked copy of Apple DVDplayer 2.7 and a FLASHed Radeon 7000, and the DVD played well ... but not as good, of course, as in my Beige G3/333 MT with an OWC 533 MHz ZIF (NOT overclocked). Without the ( unnamed ) INIT, the DVD drive was useless. The CD drive appeared to work OK with Toast Titanium. -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
