Are you saying that you feel you reach your market adequately without bowing to the conventional easy way out of aiming at the IE users ?>> --------- For my purposes, yes. I have a very local business in the geographical sense (of course USA wide orders are welcome). The site is mostly informational. I don't need the security for credit card or other type secure purchases. ----------- and Dan writes <<hum. NS for email and usenet>> Yeah, but for my purposes "if it ain't broke, don't fit it" when my Email and newsgroups requirements need a better fix, I'll do it. Thanks for the suggestions. << >I still hand write the HTML tags for my business web site. I'm a hand-coder too! What do you like to use, a raw text editor or BBEdit or Alpha or ? My fav is Alpha (I like to code in Tcl) and I'm \ too cheap to pay for BBEdit. >> -------- The site was originally written in 1997 and needs a lot of copy updating. Long story short, we had been locked into host with no control over content; recently we got back control of the site with a new host -- so far so good. At this point SimpleText is all I need as text editor. I do like the free BBEdit Lite. As my needs grow I will probably go with it. Really, the site at this time is really very, very simple and still works for my business:). To make all this on topic all the work was done was on a 7500 or 7300 PCI Mac as well as future revisions.
