Having tried it, I belive Chris means trying to open a PDF in a browser where the URL that opens the PDF is more than 255 characters. The browser in my case was Internet Explorer and the OS was Windows 2000 Server SP4. I tried to print the PDF by pressing the print button provided by acrobat. The test is simple. 1. Find a PDF you can open via Internet Explorer. 2. Add the QueryString ?huh=aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 3. Note that it prints if you press the button. 4. Change the querystring to ?huh=aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa 5. Note that when you press the same button you get an error.
