Hello,

In my open-source project called PDFinclude (for the Progress Development
environment - www.progress.com ) I've been able to develop code that allows
for the embedding of JPEG images into my PDF documents. I now need the
ability to include GIF images. From what I've read I can't use the same
method as for JPEG ... that is, including the entire JPEG image in the
Xobject stream. Can someone outline what is required for including a GIF
image into a PDF document ... I need to know the appropriate objects plus
what 'parts' of the GIF need to be included into the stream. Any sample
objects would be much appreciated.

TIA,
Gordon Campbell
