If you don't have the source documents, you might consider converting the PDF
to a format that allows reflow.  Check out BCL Drake, which converts PDF to
RTF:

http://www.bcltechnologies.com/document/products/drake/drake.htm

You could then do a search-and-replace on the RTF file, and convert back to PDF
if necessary.  However, it may not preserve the "hidden" text from the PDF -
try the free demo to make sure.
