Doh!

My width array was off by one (I wasn't accounting for character, or array
element, zero) so when I was adding my widths for those numbers it was
taking a value of 278 for number 9 whereas it should have been 556.  It just
happened to be correct for the other characters and was throwing me off.

All fixed.

That sounds like the right method for right aligning text.

It could be that your width calculation is off.  I suggest adding a couple
lines or a rect or something to show where your width calculation things the
text starts and stops.  The start point should always be correct, but I
suspect your width calculation may be off.

Your width algorithm looks fine though...
