Yup. I used to have the Bush 41-era literacy reports - they were appalling. Really high percentages of grownups who couldn't read a bus schedule, a simple bar graph, or basic reading comprehension questions. I don't know what they're looking like now, but it's hard to believe there's been a 10-15% improvement.
