Subject: Re: [pgadmin-hackers] Beta1 and translations

umm, i have a little experience with php. is it possible for you to send me the php script which displays the status as well as some sample files so maybe i can try setting it up on my local server and look around for an error? if i don't find it, i'll just learn something new. if perhaps i do, well :) so much better :)

The scripts can be found at
http://cvs.pgadmin.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/www/pgadmin3/ in various
files called from translation.php.

To be honest though, I think the script is working - when a translation
is committed
http://[www|developer].pgadmin.org/pgadmin3/cache/update.php needs to be
executed to refresh the caches on both servers. Oh, and the mergestrings
script should be run to update each existing .po file with the new
strings in the .pot file.

I'm not too happy with the latter. No need to update the .po just to get the correct total size. IMHO total strings to translate should come from pgadmin3.pot, and only individual stati should be extracted from the *po files. Committing non-changes to cvs just to have statistics updated isn't really satisfying.

Andreas
