I recently switched my domains from godaddy to namecheap and was pleasantly surprised that they support dynamic DNS with their nameservers. They even offer FreeDNS with dynamic DNS to domains that are not registered there. http://www.namecheap.com/products/freedns.aspx My dynamic ip does not change very often so it is practically a static ip. I have only notice the ip address change when I change routers probably because the MAC address changed. My tomato based wrt54g router notices when the IP address changes and automatically updates my nameserver. Unless a few minutes downtime is unacceptable, this works like a charm.
