You call this hope? America as a nation state is finished. The era of the nation state is finished. Do you think America is the only country in crisis? Better start looking beyond your own borders, there are other countries in the world.
The main crisis facing not just America, but the entire world is the global economic meltdown, which you pay no attention to. Not one person has answer to this problem, not one. You think workers are going to keep eating the lies they are fed while being thrown out of work and out of their homes, while the "Robber Barons" on Wall St. feast on a $700 billion dollar windfall of workers money. One million families have lost their home, with another 5.5 million still to default. Have you any idea of the catastrophe that is about to be unleashed. And the response of the government will be more austerity measures, more war, the introduction of the draft and police state repression. Northcom is being mobilized as we speak. It is a military force in the US, comprised of soldiers that have served multiple tours in Iraq that are being trained to suppress "civil unrest" The reluctance of the individual to objectively weigh up a situation without emotion or coercion is something I will never understand. It results in living a life based on falsehoods and distortions, always adapting to the will if others. America is not a Democracy. Obama is a multi-millionaire representative of the ruling elites. He is one of them, not one of us. "Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth, more than ruin, more even than death. ... Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible, thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habit. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world, and the chief glory of man."
