I, for one, am embarrassed and angry over Palin's behavior. After all
the many years of women struggling to be taken seriously in politics,
now we have this one who makes a mockery of it. How unprofessional it
was to give a "shout out" during a debate! How unprofessional to wink
at the audience, as if that will take the place of an honest answer. I
was actually embarrassed for her, even though she obviously lacks the
class to be embarrassed for herself. How rehearsed and fake she came
across, as if she had just memorized certain phrases for the debate.
Come on, we're talking about a woman who can't name a single
periodical that she reads. What a poor representation she gives the
women of this country.
I cringed every time she tried to be cutesy, not only for her but for
all women who have tried to enter the political arena on equal footing
with men. Palin single-handedly has taken us back decades, and I don't
understand why women aren't calling her on her silly behavior. Acting
the bimbo might be cute, but it is NOT what we need running this
country.
