uutils is a family of cross-platform reimplementations of the GNU
utilities in Rust.

This meta-package installs:

  - uutils-coreutils (sysutils/coreutils)
  - uutils-findutils (misc/findutils)
  - uutils-diffutils (textproc/gdiff)
  - uutils-grep (sysutils/ggrep)
  - uutils-awk (lang/gawk)
  - uutils-sed (textproc/gsed)
  - uutils-tar (archivers/gtar)

Each package installs the same file names as the GNU port shown in
parentheses and declares the matching @conflict and @pkgpath entries,
so a port only needs its build dependency pointed at the uutils package
to use it instead of the GNU implementation. The GNU package must not
be installed at the same time.

uutils is not a complete drop-in replacement: uutils-diffutils has no
diff3 or sdiff, uutils-awk does not implement the GNU extensions, and
uutils-tar is built from an unreleased upstream commit and lacks the
grmt(8) remote helper. Review the individual package descriptions
before switching a dependent port over.
