<< Today we recieved a postcard (w/ a 33 cent stamp!) from "Record Row Review"
in Nashville. Basically some guy named Cliff Ayers runs a TV show
(celebrating its 8th year!) and wants our CD to play on the air (?). He
goes on to explain how "Keith Bradford" of "KMC Records" chose us out of
his clients who have "exceptional songwriting ability". Cliff also informs
us that "Keith" "want to represent you in Berlin at the Fan Fair"(sic).

Who the hell are these people?

Tom and Steph,

STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM CLIFF AYERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am totally serious, trust me. I can show you copies of a contract I signed
with him a few years ago stating that he wanted to put one of my songs on a
compilation, then after I recordied it, he said he would send the final
contract after I sent the master to him. I never did, because he wanted to
then charge me over $1,000 dollars to have the song on the CD, and if I
didn't, he would have the master tape. I reported him to the Tenn. Attorney
General, and it turns out that this guy is a dreammaker for those people who
"think" they have a hit song (but know nothing about the biz end of
recording), so send him $$$ and he'll get your song listened to by.....

All bands, writers, whatever on P2 (or warn anyone else). Stay clear of
anything Cliff Ayers is involved in, or his record company Emerald Records of
Nashville. If you want more details, you can contact me offline.
