May be it's good to remember, for those who don't know, that letters a through j are reserved from the times of dBase and FoxBase. I just searched in the help if there is something about it because I recall that this is something maintained because of this historical behaviour, and I've found it on the help topics of PRIVATE, PUBLIC, LOCAL and others:
*The single letters A through J and M are reserved and cannot be used as variable names.* Best regards.- 2015-05-11 15:07 GMT+02:00 Allen <pro...@gatwicksoftware.com>: > So why isn't oIni ? > Al > > -----Original Message----- > From: ProfoxTech [mailto:profoxtech-boun...@leafe.com] On Behalf Of Paul > Newton > Sent: 11 May 2015 13:57 > To: profoxt...@leafe.com > Subject: RE: addproperty > > That was because a.newprop is interpreted as the field newprop in a cursor > with alias a > > > --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: ProFox@leafe.com Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/CAGQ_JukYcW=lmo7dcmd8yqhxsg7h39iwrr-wjpwmppp9gef...@mail.gmail.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
